Natural White Cotton - Saratoga Rib (by the half yard)
Knit with a natural cream-colored cotton yarn, Saratoga Rib is amazingly soft and luxurious. The cotton was grown in the United States from non-GMO seed as part of the Sustainable Cotton Project. The fiber was ginned, spun, and knit in the US and has not been dyed, bleached, or mercerized.
The textured rib stitch pattern can look either sophisticated or casual, depending on the sewing pattern you choose. I imagine either a pullover or a cardigan. (Pictured in photo group is a gorgeous cardi sewn by Debbie Iles of Lily Sage and Co.) The fabric will also be perfect for baby.
Before cutting and sewing, always prepare your fabric first by laundering it with the method you'll use to launder your finished garment. Hand or machine wash on gentle in either warm or cold water. Do not bleach. Warm water may brighten/whiten the natural white cotton a little. Lay fabric or finished garment flat to air dry. You may also tumble dry gently.
This fabric is approximately 50 inches (127 cm) wide. It weighs approximately 9 oz/sq yd (305 gsm).
Saratoga Rib is sold by the HALF YARD (0.457 meter). After adding your selection to cart, enter the number of half yard lengths you require, and update your total by clicking outside the box. Fabric of the same color and style will be delivered in one continuous piece.
If weight, hand, color, and stretch are important to your project, please order swatch "C" first.
