My name is Olgalyn Jolly and I'm a designer of knitted textiles and knitwear in New York City. My past work includes heading my own knitwear line and developing stitch patterns for leading fashion designers and retailers. You may have seen my designs in Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, or your local boutique. I currently teach knitwear design to third year fashion design majors at New York City's Fashion Institute of Technology, and I teach a machine knitting elective at Parsons School of Design.
I'm attracted to and inspired by beautiful fibers. With beautiful yarn and good knit design it's possible to create the most intricate, textured accessory or a simple, classic garment with an elegant drape. I love the versatility of knits!
My personal mission at the O! Jolly! Shop is to bring quality and unusual sweater knit fabrics to home sewists and professionals alike. Fabrics are unique to this shop, and I’ve personally sourced the yarns.
We at O! Jolly! support social justice, equity, and inclusion. We are small and we are mighty. We are committed to diversity. We are better together.
If you're a home sewist and you’d like information on cutting and sewing sweater knit fabrics, please read the Crafting Fashion blog, where you’ll find tips, tutorials, and pictures of garments sewn with O! Jolly! sweater knits. Add your name to the email list, if you’d like to know when there’s a sale. As always, I'm eager to collaborate with others, to teach, and to learn. If you have any questions or would like to make a request, please contact me.
