Natural White Cotton - Saratoga Rib (by the half yard)

Knitted with a natural cream-colored cotton yarn, Saratoga Rib is amazingly soft and luxurious. The cotton was grown, ginned, and spun in Georgia and knitted in New Jersey. It has not been dyed, bleached, or mercerized. If you're looking for a more colorful fabric, be sure to check out this sweater knit dyed persimmon or blue jay.

The textured rib stitch pattern has a soft drape with a beautiful hand-knitted look and feel. It will work for either a sophisticated or casual look, depending on the sewing pattern you choose. It's perfect for either a pullover or a cardigan. (Pictured in photo group is a gorgeous long cardi sewn by Debbie Iles of Lily Sage and Co.) Matching rib band trim is also available.

Before cutting and sewing, always prepare your fabric by laundering it with the method you'll use to launder your finished garment. (Protect raw edges first with a zigzag or overlock stitch.) Hand or machine wash on gentle in either warm or cold water. Do not bleach. Lay fabric or finished garment flat to air dry. You may also tumble dry gently. Expect 10% - 15% shrinkage in length, if tumble dried. Your result may vary.

This fabric is approximately 56 inches (142 cm) wide. It weighs approximately 9 oz/sq yd (305 gsm).

Saratoga Rib is sold by the HALF YARD (0.457 meter). Fabric of the same color and style will be delivered in one continuous piece.

If weight, hand, color, and stretch are important to your project, please order a swatch first.
