If tweed and denim had a knit baby, this fabric would be it. The rippled texture of this sweater knit is a great twist on a classic rib. The Rippled Rib sweater knit package includes 2 front/back panels, 2 sleeve panels, and rib bands for the hem, collar, and/or cuffs. You supply the sewing pattern, thread, and your creative vision!
You have all the fabric you need to make a sweater with a maximum circumference of about 50.5”, but your design need not be a sweater at all! With the generous amount of fabric in each panel, there are so many options for what you can make. Let your creativity run wild!
The front and back panels are 26.5” wide from selvage to selvage and are 24” long when relaxed. Including seam allowances, the maximum circumference of the finished garment would be 50.5” with a 25% stretch. The two sleeve panels are 19” wide x 22” long.
Also included are 4 rib bands. Consider using one set for the sleeve cuffs and the other for a neckband and hem, or since all panels have finished edges, save them to use as a contrasting trim on another project! Rib bands stretch 20% without rib distortion. The fabric is a medium weight sweater knit at 16.4 ounces per square yard (556 GSM).
